The movie News of the World stars Tom Hanks playing Capt. Jefferson Kyle Kidd, a war veteran bringing the daily news to the towns that he travels through. This is his job and along his travels he runs into a girl named Johanna Leonberger played by Helena Zengel that became abandoned. He takes it on himself to find her family. Other actors in this movie include Neil Sandilands, Mare Winningham and Ray McKinnon. This is a good film that has great substance. I really think the writers or the director could have done so much more with this movie. It’s sad because this could have been could have been so much better had they done action scenes. By what they show you in the trailers of the movie, they make you believe this movie is going to have much more action in it than it does. I believe that is sad because had it had that in, it would have been a much better movie. Even still the movie is worth seeing. If you like what it’s about you’ll enjoy it. It’s a two and a half to three star movie. It would have been a four star had it been put together much better. The way I felt they were leading you as to what it was going to be. Nevertheless joy for what it is. Running time is 1 hour, 58 minutes.
