A Journal for Jordan is directed by Denzel Washington. He does a phenomenal job in all his movies whether he’s acting or directing. Of course you have Michael B Jordan as the star character. The movie is based on a true story and you have Chante Adams, Joel Brooks, Jalon Christian and Vanessa Aspillaga in the movie. Michael Jordan’s character is a Soldier who wants to make a lifelong career in the army and is deployed in Iraq. His wife gives him a journal to keep his thoughts. It is meant for his infant son that he just had back home before he left for the war and it shows you the very little time he spends with his son and the importance of family life and how this journal plays a big part in his son’s life. Really good movie and you’ll need your crying towel. Very touching movie. I give it three and a half stars. It’s 2 hours and 11 minutes long.
