Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice (2019) Review

I have to say Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice is a phenomenal documentary into the life and performances of Linda Ronstadt. This is based around the late ’60s through the ’80s of the performances and music she made. If you’re familiar with this era, you know the people such as Janis Joplin, Cher, Grace Slick, Christine McVie and many other great female singers. I’m telling you if you want to see this movie you will agree that Linda Ronstadt is only second to the great Aretha Franklin and her vocal and musical abilities. I was taken aback by the whole story of the film as well as the documentation and performances that they show. When you see the songs she did and there are quite a few that were done by other bands too. Her versions were better than any other versions I’ve heard. I highly recommend this film. I would give it a good four stars for the subject matter, performances and background you learn in this movie. If you’re into this era and music I highly recommend you see this movie. Hope you enjoy it.
