One Night in Miami is a really good film. I highly recommend it and have to say it is Regina King’s first movie as a director and she knocked it out of the park. I hope she does many more films because she was spot on on this one and the acting was really good in this movie. Leslie Odom Jr, Eli Goree, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Aldis Hodge did a really good job in their acting skills. The movie is one night back in 64 that Malcolm X, Jim Brown, Muhammad Ali and Sam Cooke meet after Muhammad Ali’s fight to celebrate. The story tells of what happened. I have to say a lot of drama in the movie. The story that you get out of it is well worth watching the movie. Like I said, the performances were really well done. Regina King made sure that everyone did their part to portray the characters as to what happened that night, if you know anything of this time, all these guys were at the height of their careers and at the best of their professions. Definitely a movie worth seeing. I highly recommended. I give it three and a half stars. Running time is 1 hour and 54 minutes.
