Pieces of a Woman is about a couple who are having a child, Sean and Martha Weiss played by Shia LaBeouf and Vanessa Kirby. When the child is born it dies right away and of course this tears upon both of them as well as the family. Martha Weiss’ mother Elizabeth, played by Ellyn Burstyn, goes after the midwife that helped her daughter give birth to the child. This is a movie that tells the story of the misfortunes for anyone who has had this happened in their life. A very trying movie. It helps you to understand what it can be like for a family when this misfortune happens. I definitely say go see the movie if you like what this is about, you’ll enjoy it. Really good performances by the whole cast. The running time is 2 hours and 8 minutes. I give it three stars.
