Raya and The Last Dragon is an animated movie. It is very well done. Awkwafina plays Sisu the dragon and the voicing and animation was perfect. She was great for the part as well as Raya’s character voiced by Kelly Marie Tran is very well done. This is a cultural movie. Obviously set in a far away land where Raya’s dad wants all the tribes to get together as one and in doing so one of the other tribes decides they have a better way and then chaos breaks out. Raya is left to pick up the pieces and is trying to fulfill her dad’s dreams. I really enjoyed the story that is told. I think this is one of the better movies of the year. I highly recommend anyone, adult or child, to go see it. It is a beautiful story that is told. It just keeps you entertained through the whole time. I can’t say enough about the movie. This is definitely a three and a half star to 4 star movie all the way. I think they hit a home run. Running time is 1 hour and 54 minutes.
