The Eyes of Tammy Faye (2021) Review

The Eyes of Tammy Faye is obviously about the life of Tammy Faye Baker who met Jim Bakker in their college days and they become televangelists. The two of them get married and her career alongside her husband evolve. This is mostly done through 70s and the 80s. You see the transformation of what becomes the Tammy Faye that we all knew at the height of her televangelist career. They give you a good backstory into her life including how they met and how they formed what came to be the televangelist lifestyle that they both lived. I have to say you get to see other televangelists at that time and how they help them. Really there were no better than them either. A great story and definitely worth seeing. The acting was phenomenal. Jessica Chastain really transformed herself into Tammy Faye and did a phenomenal oscar-worthy job, as well as Andrew Garfield playing Jim Bakker did a phenomenal job as well. Very well-told story. Very well done movie. I’d give it three stars. It was 2 hours and 6 minutes long.
