Next movie was The War With Grandpa. The movie had some laughs in it. You know what you’re getting when you go in. It was nothing great but it was okay. The characters include a lot of big names and usually when you see a lot of big names you know it’s not going to be a great movie. They’re banking more on the names of the actors then the writing in the movie. I have to say I thought this movie would have been much funnier if they would have used Cheech Marin as the grandpa. I thought that would have made this movie a lot better. By all means, I’m not saying that Robert De Niro did a bad job because no he did a really good job. I just don’t think the writing was as funny as it could have been and I think Cheech Marin put in this movie giving it a Latino feel would have been just much more funnier and I think that him as the main actor as most of his roles are comedy, this one would have just been a better fit for him. But again everybody did a great performance. Uma Thurman, Jane Seymour, Christopher Walken, Cheech Marin and Robert DeNiro and the kids all did a great job acting wise. I give it 2 and 1/2 stars. If you like what the movie is about you’ll enjoy it. Running time is 2 hours and 21 minutes. Have fun at the movies.
