Uncut Gems is a movie about a jewelry dealer in New York who is also heavily involved in gambling and sports while he’s cheating on his wife. Adam Sandler’s character comes across a rare black opal and he finds that Kevin Garnett, the basketball player, really takes a liking to it and he wants to sell it to him. Kevin Garnett gives a good performance. I have to say the movie is phenomenal. It is a little slow at times but the performance by Idina Menzel was also very well done. And Adam Sandler; this has to be his best performance to date. Yes I would agree with people saying that he might get nominated for an Oscar because the performance he gives is the best of his lifetime. If you like what you’re hearing you’ll enjoy the movie very much. I give it three stars. Running time is 2 hours and 15 minutes.
