Where’s My Roy Cohn? (2019) Review

Where’s My Roy Cohn? was a really good movie. I would give it three stars. If you love a history lesson, this is where Donald Trump got his tactics on legal matters. This is probably that man, more than anyone. Roy Cohn was an attorney from the ’50s to the ’80s and he was like a pitbull when it came to matters that he got involved in legally. Roy Cohn was a gay person but would not admit to it publicly. I think that was a shame because he could have really brought it to the forefront and done the gay community a lot of good, especially at that time in the ’80s. The movie really gets into his lifestyle. He was very flamboyant and liked being showy. He liked to be where the action was in all those fancy nightclubs where the elite gathered. He wanted to be there which in some ways is a lot like Donald Trump. If you’re one that’s a Trump fan, I would say see the movie, and if you’re one that doesn’t like Trump, still go see the movie to learn what Roy Cohn contributed to the New York lifestyle and to the courtrooms that he entered. Really well done documentary. I highly recommend everyone to go see it. Very entertaining.
