Nomadland starring Frances McDormand is a strange kind of a movie. It centers around Francis’s character Fern, who after a break in her life from the loss of her husband, decides to travel around in her van. She runs into a society a people that live like this calling themselves nomads. The movie kind of drags a little so it wasn’t one for me. I really wish they would have given a little bit more insight of what happened to her husband early on as I think this would have made the movie much more enjoyable and better. I give it two stars. I don’t know if I would pay to see it. I think it was really something more at home. I know it’s gotten a lot of buzz about awards but I just didn’t get that. It wasn’t for me but yes Frances’ acting was phenomenal and it did help the movie a lot. Running time is 1 hour and 50 minutes.
