Promising Young Woman is about a woman who’s friend really likes a guy in college. The guy in college used her and exploited her. This really takes a toll on her friend as well as her and she takes it upon herself to seek vengeance against not only these guys but any guys that pick up women, mainly if they’re drunk. So she herself goes undercover to exploit the guys and gets her justice from this. Yes you may have seen these type of movies before but this one has a much different angle on it. Carey Mulligan does a phenomenal job acting in this and I like their concept of what they had going here as well as the way she put things together. I enjoyed the movie it’s a strong 2 and 1/2 to 3 stars depending on whether you like these type of movies or not but I felt it was worth watching. The cast includes Bo Burnham, Emerald Fennell, Alison Brie and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. Running time is 1 hour and 54 minutes.
