The Assistant is about an assistant / secretary that works for a company and finds the higher-ups hire girls to work for them just because they are good looking. This drama movie is about how the assistant played by Julia Garner is treated. I have to say Julia Garner did a good job acting, the rest of the characters did an okay job but the movie is very very boring it just meanders along with the day to day things that she has to do and has to put up with. For the most part this is more or less a day in the life of an assistant and it seems like they show you almost the whole day in the hour and 27 minutes minutes of the movie. I wasn’t real pleased with the overall movie just kind of meandering along and not really doing a whole lot. I give the movie one star and a half, two stars at best. Running time is 87 minutes.
