The guide is a movie set in the early 1930s. It’s about a ten year old boy and his father in Soviet Ukraine. The father is an American engineer who gets killed because he had some secret documents that he was unaware of. The boy seeing this, flees for his safety. He gets upon a train and runs into a blind man who can tell the boy is in trouble and tries to help him to safety. The movie entails with a very dangerous journey. I have to say I very much enjoyed the movie. Great acting. You felt like this was happening right before your eyes. I would strongly advise you see the movie. It really shows you what it was like at that time and the friendship between the blind man and a 10 year old is priceless. It shows you the goodness of man and the hardships that can happen when you live under a dictatorship that they were living under at that time. I give it 4 stars. It is 2 hours and 2 minutes long. This movie does not drag it keeps your interest the whole time.
